Two Things




Two of the things I'm looking forward to in the days ahead: Fantasy Golf Pangya for the PSP and Julie and Julia the Movie. Both, hopefully are good for the Sole/Soul.

One last word

Before I sign off, I just have this to add: As much as I would like to (appease my sister and) go back to my psychiatrist, if I had the choice, I'd really like to move on with my life and not get stuck for another millenia indulging in psycho-babble. I'm helping the doctor more than I'm helping myself at this point. A prayer: May God give me the decency of having a "say", a "choice" in what I'm in this world for. I hate to waste (my talk time) out on some psychiatrist (who will only meddle with my thoughts). Maybe I can do it for a couple of weeks but that's the limit for sure. Signed, Adorina

A note for Philippine viewers/programmers of 2nd Avenue

Do you guys believe in the stupidity of 2nd Avenue's programming? I have to watch my favorite morning Talk Show which happens to be an American delayed feed interspersed with repetitive, totally uninspired programming coming from dare I say, a group of intellectually-dried up individuals who come up with the laziest one-liners in Philippine television. They started this year with a promise of a revolutionary kind of TV programming. The only change I saw after a full year was an eroding kind of entertainment bore, thanks to their short adverts against a white, black and green background (the sum of all their statement). May I suggest you change your 30-second programming, if not on a frequent basis because of your limited program feeds, then into something more substantial and palatable...something that doesn't have an aftertaste of cheap, vulgar entertainment attached to it but rather a more tasteful kind for those with refined sensibilities. 22 Filipino Athletes at the 33rd Paris Olympics

After the onslaught of Typhoon Carina, we are left with watching the rainy day but highly engaging Opening of the 33rd Paris Olympics on You Tube  as only the French  Mesdames et Messieurs   can deliver (...thanks YouTube and Smart Sports! I miss watching TV5 Monde btw.)  As a matter of fact, it's a 4-hour live stream and I'm still not through watching it. It's in faraway France, and although it's also raining there, it won't dampen the spirit of the athletes especially the select 22 people to represent the Philippines (I hope) for it's only rain and the lovely river Seine. So here are the chosen 22! Here's your chance to redeem the Philippines' golden status on the world stage, if not simply enjoy your participation in the Olympics.
