An Einstein Christmas

Image
The popular quote attributed to Albert Einstein is: "If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales." Einstein's Actual View on Imagination:   While the specific quote is considered folklore or a paraphrase, it matches Einstein’s genuine philosophy that "the gift of fantasy has meant more to me than my talent for absorbing positive knowledge."  (GOOGLE) Is it really Christmas if you don’t find yourself watching re-runs of classic childhood movies while recovering from gorging on too much food? ("FAR OUT" Zine Website, UK) Here's an AI picture of our Ficus Tree Garden superimposed with images/characters from the popular Disney movie of 1968 Chitty Chitty Bang Bang , a children's story originally penned by James Bond's Ian Fleming but further written by Roald Dahl for the film we've all heard before if not actually seen from childhood.

The Scent of Musk

Image
Briefly, Elon Musk is a $1T-worth-TechnoCrat, currently the richest guy in the world; diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, [a h1ghly f4nctioning individual who falls under the Autism Spectrum Disorder = still autistic]. With that obscene amount of money at his disposal, he can easily buy an entire country, not just a forgotten island in the Philippines. The entire Philippines! In fact, if you open your Globe One App on your phones right now, you have the option (recently added about a month ago) of subscribing to a Prepaid Data Plan to Starlink for only P99 with 2GB Data consummable for 30 days! The Balete Tree

Image
The Balete Tree or the Strangling Ficus Tree with its gnarly, twisted barks  is endemic in the Philippines and is the source of all mythical creatures like the Tikbalang, Kapre, Dwende (Dwarves), Diwata (or Faeries), etcetera. These pictures are of the gigantic Balete tree that completely took over the Avocado tree that used to be in its place that is situated just outside our front door. It is both a source of majesty, mystery and unnatural phenomena. Locals say this could be the home of the "Maligno" or a Malevolent or Evil Spirit/Anito that makes one feel its sinister presence when you are simply beside it. It could also be the source of Macoy's sleepless/restless nights when he was living in his bedroom just right beside it. Thank God, he is with his primary family right now hopefully recuperating and no longer here.  With all the kababalaghans happening in this old Sanville house we used to call home with daddy and mommy (or lolo and lola to Macoy) now gone, and in...
