Me, again

A few weeks ago on March 11, former President of the Philippines Rodrigo Roa Duterte (2016-2022) coming home from an unexpected visit to Hong Kong was detained at Villamor Airbase, issued an arrest warrant by the InterPol (International Police) and then chartered to The Hague Netherlands, where he will be tried for Crimes Against Humanity at the International Criminal Court better known as the ICC. Oh my Godd!!!  I didn’t realize how large the coverage and utterly pernicious this Operation TOKHANG (War against Drugs) was until I saw these actual footages now as I really wasn’t interested in watching the local news a few years ago and would rather watch CNN. Now things have changed a bit for me as I am more interested in native news what with another boob job as World Leader on the International front (this time DT). The current Mayor of Quezon City Joy Belmonte certainly has her hands full. With so many projects to pursue and so many responsibilities both present and in the offing, this may be her biggest project to date...our resident "squatters' area" within our sacred subdivision. Marvel at its absurdity. What should have been "swatted out" of the place (a single abandoned residential lot containing several families ranging from the hundreds to probably a thousand) many years ago, thrive in this environment...a private subdivision in the heart of Quezon City and just several steps outside our front gate. I'm a thinker. I have always been. I overthink sometimes. It's what I do. I love to think. Good or bad, it's a given. I think about the news I see on TV. But do you know, despite its mostly negative messages, it's highly engaging for me because the TV News thinks about ME. Lately, I've been thinking about the latest US Government Turnover to its new set of officials, mostly President Trump and Richest Contributor/Official, unqualified tech guy Elon Musk. If it's not apparent to you, they're out to ruin the world as we know it...with their rash decisions on most anything. Just watch the evening news. You'll know what I'm talking about.   With hardly any thoughtfulness, Trump wants to make the disputed GAZA Strip his Riviera of the Middle East. As I peer outside my hotel window in the heart of Quezon City, I see a haze of the sprawling city located at the corner of the main thoroughfare EDSA and North Avenue. It is 7:43 am. An ice storage facility is burning to the left of my picture window. Siya ang supremo ng Bagong Pilipinas.  Ang kaniyang ari ang tanging yaman ng kanyang kaharian. Lahat ng anak nito ay  kayamanan din niya. Sa mga reviews na lumabas, para sa isang komediante, napagaling ng kaniyang performance bilang isang serious actor. Walang katarungan sa Pilipinas at lahat ng batas para sa mga ordinaryong mamamayan ay hindi naman napapasatupad. Mga pamilya lang ang nagpapalakad ng kanilang sariling pamilya na para sa kanila ang tunay na tulong nila sa bayan. Kung siya ang padre de pamilya at hari ng kanyang kaharian, magpapakamatay siya alang-alang sa ikabubuhay at ika-lalago pa ng kaniyang kayamanan. Gawin mo para sa iyong mga anak, ang nalalabing pag-asa ng bayan.
