Kate Winslet Step by Step

Image
Chalk drawing on canvas using pink kid's chalk. Brunailled and added some dark shadows and a yellow BG. Flesh tones done using varied colors. Hair done. My spontaneous semi-abstract portrait of Kate Winslet is almost finished. Added a few more minor tweaks. Love those blue eyes! Zhuzhed up the hair. Final Artwork!  Probably done in less than 5 hours. Now showing.

Chalk outline in pink! A light blue roughly painted BG. A brunaille for the hand and head. Some flesh ground. Happy as I was painting the face. Even happier now that I've added a 1st coat of magenta for the shirt. Trying to do folds and creases using magenta, yellow, white, red and green as I don't have fuchsia. Minor adjustments to the face and finalized shirt. Grounded the pants. Added buttons, rings and tattoos. Unless someone violently objects,  this painting is finished!  Or is it?

Easy Lemons Step by Step

Image
A brown ground of leftover paint. Chalk drawing of the image. Black and blue BG, Brown and blue table ground. Plus white lemons. Painted in the sack with folds. Finalized sack folds. Did the lemons and the leaves. Finished! Thanks once again to The Art Sherpa!

Immediately after chalking in my image pre-sketched on coupon bond,  I painted in the background fleshy with yellows, whites and bits of blue. Also a green t-shirt. Then I started with the flesh tones for the face and arms. Finalized face, hair and arms. Continued with the cat. Added white flowers as requested. Finished, I think!
